Communists, revolutionaries, proletarians and class-conscious workers all over the world celebrate and continue to celebrate the anniversary of the glorious October Socialist Revolution. We will do so with greater courage and firmness in 2017 on the occasion of the centenary of those historic "ten days that shook the world."
The Bolshevik Revolution was the heroic deed that heralded a revolutionary dawn. The guns of the cruiser "Aurora" announced that a new epoch was opening: the epoch of the defeat of capitalism and the construction of the new society without exploiters or exploited.
With the Great October Revolution, the proletariat seized power, expropriated the exploiters, established its revolutionary dictatorship and established a state of a new type. In Lenin's words:
"...in Russia the bureaucratic mechanism has been completely dissolved, leaving no stone unturned, all the old magistrates have been dismissed, the bourgeois parliament has been dissolved, and the workers and peasants have been given much more accessible representation; their Soviets have come to take the place of the officials, or their Soviets have been placed above the officials, their Soviets are the ones who elect the judges. This fact alone is enough for all the oppressed classes to proclaim that the power of the Soviets, i.e., this form of dictatorship of the proletariat, is a million times more democratic than the most democratic of bourgeois republics." (The Proletarian Revolution and the Renegade Kautsky)
The Soviet State; He showed that socialism is a superior social order, provided that its principles are firmly followed and that it marches towards communism.
"Red October" radically changed the course of world history, which ushered in a new stage of its development, the stage of the general crisis of capitalism and the transition to socialism. It has marked an indelible turn in revolutionary strategy and tactics, in the methods of struggle and forms of organization, in the mentality, the culture, the traditions of the working class and its allies in the struggle against imperialism and capitalism, for revolution and socialism.
In the wake of the Bolshevik-led revolution of Lenin and Stalin, a wave of proletarian revolutions was inaugurated in the imperialist and capitalist countries, of popular and democratic revolutions that are carried out under the leadership of the proletariat and the banners of internationalism in the dependent and colonial countries.
The triumph of the October Socialist Revolution gave impetus to the formation of communist parties throughout the world and the construction of the Communist International, to regroup the vanguard of the proletariat and organize the world revolution.
With the creation of the Soviet Union and the building of socialism, the working class, the peasants, the women, the peoples achieved great material and cultural benefits. Workers achieved high levels of well-being thanks to socialist industrialization and collectivization of the countryside, to economic planning that put an end to capitalist relations of production, and to the anarchy typical of the old system.
The working class was transformed into a technically and ideologically advanced class. Unemployment is over. The process of women's emancipation and their participation in the leadership of the country progressed at the same time as the building of socialism.
The furious assaults of the imperialists failed in the face of the iron will of the workers and peoples not to retreat to the condition of slaves; they failed in the face of the power and political unity of the socialist state.
The socialist constitution of 1936 and the defeat of the Nazi-fascist beast, which led to the liberation of many countries and the establishment of regimes of people's democracy, were great achievements for the peoples of the world.
The October Socialist Revolution was an event that is very topical today, full of precious lessons for the struggle of the proletariat and other oppressed classes against exploitation and oppression.
It is the practical demonstration that revolution is not only a popular desire, it is also possible and necessary to overthrow bourgeois rule and build the new society, in which those who "are nothing now, will be everything", and will change the world.
In the years that separate us from that great event, the fundamental contradictions and endemic evils of capitalism have worsened, but the revolutionary forces of the working class and the peoples have grown objectively and internationally.
The idea of the proletarian revolution is totally topical in the face of the exploitation and oppression suffered by the vast majority of humanity, the misery and growing inequality, the predatory wars, the parasitism of a handful of rich people who are getting richer and richer, the demolition of the social conquests wrested by the workers. the plunder and neo-colonialist domination, the devastation of the environment caused by the capitalist system.
The reasons for the revolution are more topical than ever and its material premises developed. The transition to a better form of organization for human society, to a new and higher social order, is an increasingly urgent demand for the classes exploited and oppressed by capital. It is a "problem taken up for solution" through the struggle of the oppressed and exploited masses.
The demise of the USSR and other socialist countries has been a severe blow. Socialism has suffered a temporary defeat which does not invalidate its achievements, its necessity. In reality, it is not the October Revolution or proletarian socialism that has failed. Betrayal, revisionism and opportunism, which divert workers from their class interests and aims, do fail.
Despite the incessant anti-communist propaganda, it is becoming clearer every day that the barbaric and moribund capitalist-imperialist system can only offer exploitation, misery and war.
We are in a period of political awakening of the working class, of the peoples, of the youth, who no longer want to endure the yoke and burdens imposed by capitalism and imperialism.
The rejection and struggle against the consequences of the crisis, against exploitation, inequalities, poverty, against imperialist dictates, interventions and aggressions are advancing.
There is a growing awareness that things cannot continue as they are, that in capitalism there is no salvation, that a profound social transformation is necessary to eliminate the economic, social, moral and ecological ruin, the massacres that humanity inevitably suffers under the domination of the capitalist monopolies that follow a single law: that of maximum profit.
In order to carry out this transformation, the conquest of state power by the most revolutionary and advanced class in society, the leading force of transformation at the political, practical, intellectual and moral levels, is indispensable: the modern proletariat.
In the face of the revisionist, reformist and opportunist theses, which have led the proletarian class to painful defeats, the proletarian revolution confirms itself as the only solution to the exploitation and oppression of the peoples.
The last and profound crisis of capitalism, and those to come, prove that society under capitalism is an obstacle to the development of the productive forces, therefore it is proposed to break this disastrous situation by means of revolution.
The question that urgently arises is: the dictatorship of financial monopoly capital or the dictatorship of the proletariat?
The victorious October Socialist Revolution showed that the working class can take power and run society without the bourgeoisie and against it, it showed that communists can and must play a decisive role.
Soviet October teaches us that the communists, the best elements of the proletariat, the young revolutionaries, must take up these teachings and continue the struggle, breaking clearly with opportunism of all kinds and uniting under the banners of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism.
We will celebrate and update the centenary of Red October in every country, combatively and unitedly, highlighting its enduring significance, its international importance and the profound relevance of the proletarian revolution to radically transform the world.
Let us prepare to celebrate everywhere, with dignity and unity in 2017, the 100th Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, with commemorations, seminars, rallies and other activities.
Let us develop in all countries the mobilization to regroup the communists, the revolutionaries, the militant workers, let us spread the reasons for communism, the only force that can consistently organize and direct the forces of the social revolution in all countries.
We invite the political, social, trade union, youth, women's, peasant, and indigenous parties and organizations of all countries that share our principled positions to unite with us to jointly carry out activities and build a powerful International Communist and Workers' Movement.
A century after the victorious "assault on heaven" carried out by the Bolsheviks, we reaffirm that the only sure alternative to imperialist and capitalist barbarism is revolution and socialism!
Long live the Great October Socialist Revolution!
Long live Marxism-Leninism!
Long live proletarian internationalism!
