The International Conference of Marxist Leninist Parties and Organizations, ICMLPO, condemns the assassination of Comrade Tomas Martinez Pinacho, a member of the Communist Party of Mexico (Marxist-Leninist) and leader of the Popular Revolutionary Front, and demands the clarification of this crime and the punishment of those responsible.
Comrade Tomas was a prominent peasant leader who was at the forefront of the fight against mining super-exploitation and the megaprojects that looted natural resources in the region of Oaxaca, becoming the target of powerful economic and political groups that felt affected by his denunciations, action and popular mobilization. The circumstances in which his assassination took place make it a State crime.
We express our solidarity with the Communist Party of Mexico (Marxist Leninist), with the workers and peoples of that brother country for the assassination of Comrade Tomas Martinez, who joins a long list of popular leaders and revolutionary militants assassinated for their struggle in defense of the interests of the workers and the people, for their action in favor of the social revolution and socialism.
