At the same time, the bourgeois governments are increasing their military spending (the policy of austerity is applied only to social spending, not military); repressive and police measures are being taken to stop the workers and union movement and the youths who are protesting; the arbitrary measures against migrants fleeing the war zones are being hardened; they are carrying out the reactionary transformation of the bourgeois States; they are poisoning the minds of the masses with racism and Islamophobia.
In this scenario, the shooting down of a Russian fighter jet by the armed forces of Turkey is inciting the dispute among imperialist and capitalist powers for control of Syria and the region, which can lead to a general armed clash.
We unreservedly condemn the anti-people terrorism that has struck in Turkey, France, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Nigeria, Mali and Cameroon, killing many innocent people. This is reactionary terrorism that aims to keep people in backwardness, submission and religious obscurantism, which diverts their struggles to purposes useful to imperialism, and strikes the revolutionary and progressive forces.
We also denounce the manipulation of these attacks carried out by the imperialist powers and the ruling classes to drag the workers and peoples into the orbit of a new imperialist war.
The bloody attacks committed by gangs of fanatical jihadists are inadmissible. But who has supported, armed and financed them?
Jihadist terrorism has been developed on a terrain devastated by decades of armed intervention of U.S. imperialism and its allies in the Middle East, Afghanistan, the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, unleashed lies and false pretexts to exploit the peoples and their natural wealth. It is the direct result of the policy of war, of imperialist plunder, of plots and interference that has caused millions of deaths, violence, torture, destruction of cities, political instability, mass migration, poverty and despair, which has produced a reactionary civil war in Iraq and Syria, countries that are being dismembered to redraw the map of the region.
The heads of the imperialist powers are responsible for the military interventions that have fueled jihadist fanaticism. They are the ones who for many years have supported, armed and used the State terrorism of the Zionists, of the anti-people Al Qaeda and Daesh, to reinforce their rule. They are the ones who sell weapons and do business with the sponsors of Salafist terrorism, who violate international law and commit great crimes against the workers and peoples.
The "reason" why the imperialist powers intervene with arms in Syria has nothing to do with the interests and aspirations of the Syrian people, with the freedom of oppressed peoples, such as the Palestinian and Kurdish peoples. The imperialist intervention favors the monopolies and the domestic, regional and international reactionary forces.
The actual content of the policy pursued by the imperialist powers in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and Latin America, is the fight among the U.S., Russia, China, France, Britain, Germany, Turkey, etc. for a new redivision of the world, for spheres of influence, for markets, for the resources of the dependent countries through a fierce economic war and military operations. It is the struggle of the decrepit bourgeoisie in decay of the "great nations" for the redivision and subjection of "small" nations, to increase the super-profits of the financial oligarchy. In contrast to this jihadist terrorism is secondary and in no way changes the imperialist character of the military interventions.
In this dramatic situation, the behavior of the leaders of the social-democratic, reformist and revisionist parties is a real betrayal of the cause of the working class and peoples, of peace and democracy.
The opportunists vote for war measures and war spending, for states of emergency, they declare that they are in accord with the "sacred union" with the oligarchy; they adopt policies of oppression of the peoples, the repeat the nationalist phrases of the right-wing and the fascists. They have become appendages of imperialist policy and propaganda. For their part, the revisionists advise the peoples to rely on one imperialism, Russian or Chinese, to fight the other one, the U.S. Both prettify imperialism, they hide the politics of exploitation and oppression of the bourgeois States and the capitalist monopolies from the eyes of the workers and peoples; both betray the cause of the revolution and the liberation of the peoples.
The revolutionary proletariat must not allow themselves to be deceived by these traitors, they must act to denounce, unmask and defeat the policy of war, terror and misery carried out by imperialism and the ruling classes in each country.
We demand the withdrawal of all the imperialist and capitalist powers from Syria, Iraq and the other countries in the region, the immediate demobilization of all foreign troops and the immediate end to the support for jihadist forces.
We demand the withdrawal from the warmongering military alliances and the dissolution and dismantling of the foreign bases, of the US and NATO in our countries.
We say NO to spending on war, on rearmament, on the militarization measures applied by the bourgeois governments.
We condemn the policy of closing of borders to migrants, of racism and Islamophobia.
We reject the state of emergency imposed in some of our countries. We demand the right to demonstrate, to assembly, to strike, we defend freedom of expression and movement. We give life to the relentless struggle of all the exploited and oppressed against the exploiters and the promoters of war, on the basis of political and economic interests of the working class and united action.
We support the movements for national and social liberation of the oppressed peoples, upholding the right of oppressed nations to free self-determination, up to separation.
We fight against nationalism and chauvinism, and call for international solidarity of the workers, the laborers and peoples.
For the common front of struggle of the working class and the oppressed peoples of the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America and around the world against imperialism, reaction and fascism.
Against imperialist and capitalist barbarity, the only solution is the revolution and socialism!
